African Safari Tour Specialist
SafariBooking.Com conducted a two year survey that revealed Tanzania as
Best African Safari Destination beating countries like Botswana, Kenya
and South Africa.
Tanzania's
world class tourist attractions and wildlife resource has long been the
charm for millions of tourists so it was not unexpected when the East
African country scored 4.8 out of 5 stars in reviews from more than 1000
safari and industry experts.
A statement from SafariBookings noted
"More than half of the safari travellers have undertaken multiple
safaris and have a good idea about what's offered. This secures the fact
that Tanzania deserves this top spot. Tanzania was rated the best
tourism spot because it is home to two of the most famous safari
destinations in the world, the Serengeti National Park and the
Ngorongoro Crater".
Earlier this year Tanzania reached a
tourism milestone when annual tourist visits reached one million
although Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Mr Lazaro
Nyalandu had even higher expectations for Tanzania tourism sector,
aiming for two million tourist visits and said that "very soon Tanzania
will take the lead".
Tourism in Tanzania is a thriving
sector and the opportunity for investments and revenue in the tourism
industry is vast with year end 2012 earning the economy 1.7 billion USD,
increasing infrastructure and developments, the tourism sector is set
on a steady path to growth. |
